All information below is obtained from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department website. The calls represent what was told to the deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. The true nature of an incident often differs from what is initially reported. No assumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the content of the information provided. Wednesday, March 23

SUSPICIOUS PERSON/CIRCUMSTANCES

Santa Clara Avenue, 24200 Block (11:39 p.m.) Police were called to reports of a woman or possibly a man the caller heard screaming behind the location.

DISTURBANCE
Del Obispo Street/Pacific Coast Highway (8:06 p.m.) The caller said men described as homeless were fighting near the bus stop.

CITIZEN ASSIST
Del Gado Road, 27500 Block (3:02 p.m.) A woman called the police to inform them her neighbors were using her trash cans.  

SUSPICIOUS PERSON/CIRCUMSTANCES
Pequito Drive, 33800 Block (10:46 a.m.) A man called to report a male gardener who was putting his face up to the window to “check out” his sister.

HIT-AND-RUN MISDEMEANOR
Stonehill Drive/Street of the Golden Lantern (10:26 a.m.) A white sedan hit a pole at the intersection. An 18-year-old male student was taken into custody and has since been cited and released.

WELFARE CHECK
Camino Capistrano, 34200 Block (9:40 a.m.) A caller said a woman had been yelling and screaming all morning.

UNKNOWN TROUBLE
Pacific Coast Highway/Street of the Golden Lantern (6:26 a.m.) In an underground parking structure, a caller said a woman was screaming.

DISTURBANCE
La Plaza, 34100 Block (1 a.m.) A drunken man was asked to leave and would not.

Tuesday, March 22

SUSPICIOUS PERSON/CIRCUMSTANCES
Del Obispo Street, 34000 Block (11:02 p.m.) Police were called to several transient people camping in the tennis courts in the park. The caller said they had a fire lit in the courts.

CITIZEN ASSIST
Beach Road, 35000 Block (9:55 p.m.) A woman in front of the Capistrano Bay Community Services District (Beach Road neighborhood) said her boyfriend took her ID and money and left her stranded.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON/CIRCUMSTANCES
Pacific Coast Highway, 34300 Block (9:36 p.m.) At the Chevron gas station a caller said  a homeless man was outside the store yelling at people and being “sexually inappropriate” with trees.

DISTURBANCE
Doheny Park Plaza/Pacific Coast Highway (8:20 p.m.) A security guard on foot reported two transients in a verbal argument at the Carl’s Jr. They refused to leave, and one was carrying a stick, so the guard backed off because the man was being threatening.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON/CIRCUMSTANCES
Street of the Golden Lantern, 34600 Block (8:04 p.m.) A drunken man was banging on the windows to a car belonging to the caller’s friend while she was inside the vehicle. The man was described as 6-foot-2, heavyset, wearing a bright orange shirt.

DRUNK IN PUBLIC
Crown Valley Parkway, 32400 Block (2:27 p.m.) Six men were in the pool area drinking a “large bottle of whiskey.”

MUNICIPAL CODE VIOLATIONS
Dana Point Pier (11:53 a.m.) A caller reported people jumping off the Dana Point Pier.

WELFARE CHECK
Via Corvalian, 33500 Block (11 a.m.) The caller’s roommate contacted him and said the same person “from earlier” was trying to break in.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON IN VEHICLE
Eastwind Drive, 25600 Block (10:06 a.m.) A caller said the people living in a white and blue motorhome possibly dumped their sewer tank in the street.

PETTY THEFT
Del Obispo Street/Pacific Coast Highway (1:22 a.m.) A woman said a man she knows took her bag and is now chasing her by Lantern Bay Park. The subject “heard yelling in the backpacks.”

Monday, March 21

SUSPICIOUS PERSON/CIRCUMSTANCES
Mermaid Circle/Neptune Drive (7:27 p.m.) A 22-year-old man wearing a black track suit was going door to door selling “something,” but the caller thought the person was casing the neighborhood.

HIT-AND-RUN MISDEMEANOR
Stonehill Drive/Street of the Golden Lantern (2:52 p.m.) The suspect of the incident was described as an elderly woman in a red Honda Accord. The caller said they thought the woman who hit them needs to be checked on.

ASSIST OUTSIDE AGENCY
La Cresta Drive, 24600 Block (12:39 p.m.) A caller requested units to the residence. A woman was being released into a community program from Santa Ana and said there are three guns in her home. The caller wanted police to go to the location to see if there are any weapons at the home, as the woman is not allowed to access any.

Sunday, March 20

DISTURBANCE
0 Block (8:33 p.m.) At the Ritz Carlton Hotel, a trolley driver said a drunken man was refusing to get off.

TRESPASSING
Selva Road/Pacific Coast Highway (8:14 p.m.) The caller said two people jumped the fence and security is looking for them. The suspects had backpacks on.

DISTURBANCE
Aurelio Drive, 34000 Block (1:38 p.m.) A man was cussing and yelling inside the residence.

Saturday, March 19

DISTURBANCE
La Plaza, 24700 Block (5:08 p.m.) A man came into the business “shaken up” and said he was attacked by his girlfriend, who had a knife.

DISTURBANCE
Camino De Estrella/Calle Hermosa (12:28 p.m.) A man wearing a dark baseball cap was screaming profanities at random people.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON/CIRCUMSTANCES
Old Golden Lantern, 34400 Block (10:44 a.m.) A patrol check was conducted for a homeless man who had set up a hammock across the stairway at Heritage Park. The man was challenging people to make him move it while blocking pedestrians.

Friday, March 18

SUSPICIOUS PERSON/CIRCUMSTANCES
Pacific Coast Highway/Del Obispo Street (6:46 p.m.) A caller said a couple was having sexual relations in the front seat of a black sedan.

ILLEGALLY PARKED VEHICLE
Ocean Hill Drive/Sea Knoll Drive (1:10 p.m.) A warning notice was issued to a white Ford truck and trailer that were causing a traffic hazard, as drivers can’t see around the vehicle because a caller said it is “SOOOOOO (sic) BIG.”

DISTURBANCE
Sepulveda Avenue/Domingo Avenue (11:44 a.m.) The caller said there was a man in his 30s with dreadlocks, wearing a turquoise shirt and red pants screaming and “yelling like a crazy person.”
